Boston Celtics new acquisitions, forward Kevin Garnett, and guard Ray Allen made their debut in front of the Beantown faithful Wednesday night. But it was the guy who had been there all along Paul Pierce who led the way, as Boston just beat on the New York Knicks winning 101-61. Pierce who has been with the Celtics since being drafted in the 1998 NBA Draft, had himself quite a night. He led all scorers with 22 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, had 5 assists, blocked 2 shots and had a steal. Allen scored 14 points while the “Big Ticket” Garnett scored 13 and had 8 rebounds. New york did not have anybody score in double figures although Zach Randolph and Stephon Marbury each had nine points.
