Dallas Mavericks starting forwards Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard had 45 points between them as the Mavs just beat up the Detroit Pistons Friday night 122-94. Nowitzki scored 25, grabbed 8 rebounds and 3 assists while Howard scored 20 got 4 boards and also 3 assists. The tandem led five Dallas players in double figures as the team shot 54.4% from the field and 50% 6-12 from three point range. Detroit shot barely over 40% from the field and had just one starter Rasheed Wallace in double figures with 11 points. The Pistons were led by guard Flip Murray who scored 22 from the bench.
