You know it is not a good sign when your leading scorer has 29 points, and as a team you score a total of 87! And that pretty much tells you the tale of why the Boston Celtics fell to the New York Knicks?Monday 94-87. And yes, Celtics ?veteran Paul Pierce scored 29 points in the loss. The team however shot a lackluster 36.4% from the field for the game, you will not win too many NBA contests that way. Despite the poor shooting percentage the Celtics did have four of their five starters in double figures. The problem was the rest of the team scored 14 points, again not a key component to winning games. The Knicks were led by Zach Randolph with 23 points and David Lee came off the bench with a double-double 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Knicks shot a much more acceptable 40.5% from the field.??
