Los Angeles Clippers rookie forward Al Thornton had a game high 24 points and Corey Maggette added 22 as the Clippers defeated their fellow Staples Center tennants the Lakers 112-96 Sunday. Thornton the former Florida State player came into the game off the bench. He shot 9/17 from the field and 4/5 from three point range. The Clippers had five players score in double figures. The Lakers were led by guard Jordan Farmar, while center Andrew Bynum had 16 in the loss.
