Nets Waive Veteran Jumaine Jones

The New Jersey Nets announced Tuesday that they have requested waivers on veteran forward Jumaine Jones. The move was announced in a statement by Nets Team President Rod Thorne. Jones who has played eight seasons in the NBA signed with the Nets as a free agent on October 1. New Jersey was the seventh team the NBA journeyman has played on in his eight seasons in the league. he has averaged 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and his career shooting average from three point range is .349. New Jersey’s roster is now at 19.
