Mavs Howard To Miss At Least First Two Games Of NBA Regular Season
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Dallas Mavericks won the?battle Tuesday night as they defeated the Chicago?Bulls 96-88, but it was a costly one. The price was the loss of forward Josh Howard for at least the NBA? regular season’s first?two games as he?has a sprained left wrist. Howard suffered the injury during the third quarter of the Dallas victory and immediately left the game. A MRI done on Wednesday showed the sprain he will be re-evaluated next week. If there is a silver lining, it’s the fact that Howard was already due to miss the first two games of the season anyway. Earlier in the exhibition campaign Howard was suspended for the first two games after hitting Sacramento Kings center Brad Miller with a forearm shiver to the back of the neck. Dallas opens it’s season on the road playing in Cleveland against the Cavaliers on October 31, and then play November 2, in Atlanta against the Hawks.
