Trade Confirmed Walker Goes To T-Wolves Davis To Heat

The proposed trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat that we reported earlier has been consummated. The Timberwolves in a statement released on their team website confirmed that they have traded guard Ricky Davis, and center Cory Blount to the Heat in exchange for forwards Antoine Walker and Wayne Simien, center Michael Doleac and a conditional first round draft pick. The trade ends the increasingly stormy relationship between Walker and Heat coach Pat Riley as well as giving them a proven scorer in Davis. This will actually be Davis’ second stint as a member of the Miami team. He played with them in the 2000-2001 campaign but only played in 7 games.
