The Detroit Pistons got the news they were dreading Thursday according to the Detroit Free Press. Piston’s rookie point guard Rodney Stuckey will miss about six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his broken left hand. He injured his non-shooting hand Wednesday night as the Pistons defeated the Washington Wizards 104-85 . Stuckey’s surgery was conducted Thursday morning at Oakland Regional Hospital, and his hand is now in a splint. Stuckey had performed beyond Detroit’s expectations during the exhibition season, and they thought he would be an impact player in his rookie year. The present time line would have Stuckey return to action about the first week of December.
