The NBA announced on Friday that Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce would face no fine or suspension following the scuffle on the floor between the Celtics and the New York Knicks on Monday. Boston and New York were playing an exhibition game when play got a little rough on the floor. New York guard Jamal Crawford knocked Celtics guard Ray Allen to the floor during a play. Pierce and teammate Tony Allen immediately interceded with Pierce allegedly grabbing Crawford by the chin. After the game Crawford said he did not remember that happening. Other players are missing regular season games after getting in altercations during the pre-season.
