Reports From Houston Say Franchise Won’t See Much Action

The Houston Chronicle reported on Sunday that veteran guard Steve Francis has basically been?told that barring an injury his minutes will be at times few and far between. According to the paper Francis was not what you would exactly called pleased at the information.?The Chronicle quoted Francis as saying “That is going to be tough, that will be real tough for me. If that’s the case, then I don’t know. I definitely didn’t come here not to play at all. Hopefully we can work something out.” Francis who played last season for the New York Knicks was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers on the night of the NBA Draft? in the deal that brought Zach Randolph to New York. Portland released Francis, and then the veteran signed with Houston as a free agent.
