The Minneapolis-ST.Paul Star Tribune has reported that the Minnesota Timberwolves have worked out a buyout of veteran power forward Juwan Howard getting their roster down to 15 players. The 13 year veteran was traded to the T-Wolves in June from?the Houston Rockets with whom he played for the last three seasons. At that point Minnesota still had Kevin Garnett on the roster, a situation that has since changed as he was traded to Boston in the off-season. With the T-Wolves going on a youth?movement the 34 year old Howard really felt this was not the right fit for him expressed those thoughts according to team management respectfully.? The forward told the team he really wanted to play with a contender as his career enters it’s final phase. Howard played for Washington from 1994-1995 through 1999-2000.? He then played for Dallas and Denver for two seasons each before playing for Orlando from 2003-2004, and then heading to Houston. The paper is also reporting that the team has told former Miami Heat player Wayne Simien not to report to the team. Simien came to Minnesota along with Michael Doleac and Antoine Walker in the Ricky Davis deal.
