The Associated Press reported Tuesday that the San Antonio Spurs and forward Tim Duncan have agreed on a two year contract extension. The report said the information was given to the news outlet by our old friend ” a team official with knowledge of the deal who spoke anonymously.” The deal which would be added on to his current three year pact would keep the future Hall of Fame player in a Spurs uniform through the 2011-2012 campaign. San Antonio has won the franchises only four NBA Championships with Duncan on the team. He was named NBA MVP in back to back seasons, in 2001-2002, and 2002-2003. The Spurs open their regular season on Tuesday night as they host the?Portland Trail Blazers.
