The Orlando Magic Wednesday night opened the NBA Season with an incredible display of three point shooting prowess. The Magic shot an amazing 12-22 from behind the arc as they ran away from the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 102-83. Orlando’s free agent acquisition Rashard Lewis scored a game high 26 points including 4-5 shooting on treys, while Hedo Turkoglu had 24 points and went 3-5 from behind the arc. Michael Redd led the bucks with 25 points, only one of two Milwaukee players to score in double figures. Forward Bobby Simmons added 18 from the bench. Milwaukee first round draft pick Yi Jianlian scored 9 points on 4-5 shooting in his first NBA game.
