Magic Extend Nelson’s Contract

The Orlando Magic have extended the contract of guard Jameer Nelson according to the team’s website. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Nelson who has been with Orlando since the 2004-2005 season has turned into a core player with the Magic. He has averaged 11.9 points, 4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game during his career. Nelson was extremely grateful with the confidence that Orlando has showed in him with the extension. Coach Stan Van Gundy and Nelson’s teammates are also very pleased that Nelson will be in Orlando for quite a while.
