O’Neal Will Miss Pacers Opener

New Indiana Pacers head coach Jim O’Brien told the media Wednesday afternoon that big man Jermaine O’Neal will miss Wednesday night’s season opener because of a hyper-extended left knee. O’Neal participated in Wednesday’s practice but the team said he was not ready to play. Ike Diogu will start as the team takes on the Washington Wizards. O’Brien believes that the 6′11″ 11 year NBA veteran should be ready to play Friday night.
