Paul leads Hornets to easy win over Kings, 104-90

Point guard Chris Paul scored 22 points and recorded 12 assists, leading the New Orleans Hornets to a 104-90 victory over the visiting Sacramento Kings.? Forward and former King Peja Stojakovic added 19 points while showing glimpsaes of his old All-Star form while recovered from back surgery which caused him to miss all but 13 games last season.? Center Tyson Chandler also chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Shooting guard Kevin Martin led the Kings with 26 points, while G John Salmons chipped in 22 and swingman Francisco Garcia contributed 17.? The Kings were without two of their major offensive weapons, forward Ron Artest, who is serving a 7-game suspension after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge; they are also missing?PG Mike Bibby, who will be out at least 8 weeks with a torn ligament in his left thumb.? New Orleans (1-0) next faces the visiting Portland Trailblazers on Friday, while Sacramento (0-1) visits the NBA champion San Antonio Spurs, also on Friday.
