The debut of Seattle Supersonics?swingman Kevin Durant was a bit less than impressive, as Denver Nuggets swingman Carmelo Anthony stymied him on defense and burned him to the tune of 32 points as the Nuggets beat the Supersonics 120-103.? Durant, in his league debut, struggled somewhat, scoring 18 points on 7-for-22 shooting in 31 minutes.? Seattle had a brief 79-78 lead with 3:05 left in the 3rd quarter, but a 28-11 run by Denver sealed the win for the Nuggets around mid-4th quarter.?

Denver was led by the aforementioned Anthony with 32 points, along with 25 points and 14 assists from guard Allen Iverson; swingman Linas Kleiza chipped in 18 points, including 5 three-pointers.? Seattle was led by guard-forward Damien Wilkins with 21 points and resereve guard Delonte West with 19.? Denver (1-0) next goes up against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves while Seattle (0-1) hosts the Phoenix Suns.
