The Charlotte Observer reported Friday that Charlotte Bobcats center/forward Emeka Okafor wants to remain with the team. The Charlotte Bobcats definitely want to retain the player, however the two sides were unable to hammer out a long term contract before the?NBA’s Moratorium began Wednesday at 11:00 PM.?No further contract talks can take place before July 1, 2008. Okafor can now become a restricted free agent?starting ion July 1, but told the paper his desire is to remain a Bobcat. Charlotte took Okafor with the second pick of the NBA 2004 draft, he has career averages of 14.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game
