The Toronto Raptors went into the New Jersey Nets Arena, and embarrassed the Nets in front of their home fans. Toronto made New Jersey look like a junior varsity team as the Raptors blew out the Nets 106-99. Toronto shut down the entire Nets team except for forward Richard Jefferson who had 27 points. He was the only New Jersey player to score in double figures as the next highest scorer on the team was forward Nenad Krstic who scored 9. Starting center Jason Collins went 0-1 from the field no free throw attempts, with 1 rebound, and 1 assist. Even Jason Kidd had a subapar night scoring only 2 points with 6 assists and 3 rebounds.

Toronto center Andrea Bargnani led six Raptors in double figures with 21 points and 6 rebounds. The first quarter ended at a 21-21 tie, but Toronto caught fire in the second quarter outscoring the Nets 35-20 for a 56-41 halftime lead. New Jersey scored only 28 points in the second half, coming out of the locker room and scoring only 12 points in the third quarter.
