Rivers To Miss Sunday’s Celtics Game Due To the Passing Of His Father

The Boston Globe reported Sunday that Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers will miss Sunday’s contest between Boston and the Toronto Raptors due ti the passing of his father Sunday morning. Rivers’ father Grady Alexander Rivers SR. was 76 years old and was said to have passed away peacefully. Rivers is leaving Toronto to head to Chicago where his father?passed?away. Until funeral arrangements are settled?there is no timetable for Rivers return.?Boston associate head coach Tom Thibodeau, and?assistant coach Armond Hill will run the team?until the coach is ready to return. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Rivers family. ?
