Amare Stoudemire was not in Sunday’s game between his Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reason was stiffness in his right knee which recently underwent arthroscopic surgery, to remove some floating matter in the knee cap. Doctors believe that it was simply a case of the power forward getting a little too ambitious in his return from the procedure. Stoudemire did not experience any swelling when he underwent the surgery, but it has swollen over the last few days. Stoudemire is now listed as day to day, but team officials do not expect it to be a long term problem.
