The NBA announced on Monday that Houston Rockets guard/forward Tracy McGrady and the Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger were named the NBA Player’s of the week for the first week of the NBA season. Granger who won the award for the Eastern Conference, averaged 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocked shots while shooting 50% from the field in three games for the Pacers. McGrady averaged 32.3 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.3 boards while also shooting 50% from the floor as the Rockets are 3-0 going into Monday night’s game versus Dallas. McGrady scored 47 points in his second game the NBA high so far this season.
