King’s Guard Udrih May Not Play Tuesday Due To Broken Finger
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The very strange tale of point guard Beno Udrih took another interesting turn Monday. When we last checked in with Beno he had just signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings last Thursday. The Kings had signed the three year NBA veteran because they were suddenly without point guard Mike Bibby who was on the inactive list due to a thumb injury which occurred three days before the season started. Udrih was available because the Minnesota Timberwolves had waived him immediately after trading for him from the San Antonio Spurs the team he had played his entire career with. Now USA Today is reporting that Udrih may not play Tuesday night when the Kings host Seattle because he has a broken finger. If Udrih is not available Francisco Garcia will probably get the nod to start at the point. Garcia replaced Orien Greene Saturday night after Greene started the first two games for the Kings. Tuesday is Sacramento’s home opener for the 2007-2008 season.
