As one would suspect, a ticket to a NBA game is not exactly economical entertainment.? According to the Associated Press, the average price of a ticket in Los Angeles to watch the Lakers play is the costliest in the league.? According to Team Marketing Report’s survey released today, the average price for a Los angeles Lakers ticket is – are you sitting down?? $89.24!!? That’s a 4.5% increase from last season.
As it is, the cost of a ticket to a NBA game went up 3.6%, to an average of $48.83 a ticket.? The New York Knicks came in second, averaging $70.51 a ticket; Boston came in third averaging $65.43 a ticket and Chicago ($63) came in fourth.? If you want a inexpensive NBA ticket, go to New Orleans, where the “paltry” sum of $24.58 will get you a typical NBA ticket.
