Crawford Leads The Way As Knicks Knock Off Nuggets 119-112
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
You are not going to lose too many games in the NBA when you shoot 50% from?the field. That is unless the team on the other end of the court?is shooting a ridiculous 52.7% and 42.9% from outside the arc! And that is what happened when Allen & Carmelo traveled to New York as the Denver Nuggets lost to the New York Knicks 119-112. Knicks guard Jamal Crawford led four New York players with 20 or more points scoring 25, as New York shot 48-91 from the field and 6-14 from three point range. Center?Eddy Curry scored 24, Zach Randolph had 22 points and 17 rebounds and Stephon Marbury added 21 in the win.
This was the first time that Denver had played in MSG since the brawl that took place between the two teams last season. There was?no sign of resentment between the two teams, or any signs of lingering bad feelings. Denver was in control for most of the game by as many as 15 points, and went into the final period leading by 10. But the?Knicks took it another gear in the closing moments of the game. Allen Iverson scored a game high 32 points and Carmelo?Anthony had 24 points and 9 assists as Denver falls to 2-2. New York with the win is at 2-1.
