The Atlanta Hawks were way too much for the Phoenix Suns in the second day of back to back games, as the Hawks won 105-96. Atlanta had for players who had double doubles, Josh Smith had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Marvin Williams 20 points and 12 rebounds, Josh Childress had 19 points and 10 boards, while Joe Johnson had 15 points and 10 assists. Rookie Al Horford had 8 points and a game high 15 rebounds.

Steve Nash the Suns point guard led all scorers with 34 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds, while Shawn Marion had 20 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. Atlanta led after the end of the first quarter by 5 at 32-27, and led through out the game. Atlanta now is at .500 evening their record at 2-2 while Phoenix now has a 3-2 mark.
