The Los Angeles Times sat down with NBA Hall Of Fame center Kareem Abdul Jabbar who is now a special assistant with his old team the Los Angeles Lakers. According to the report, Kareem is highly enthused about center Andrew Bynum. Kareem who went UCLA for four years was still in college when he was Bynum’s age. Bynum who just turned 20 on October 27, is now in his third year in the NBA. Kareem is amazed at the skill and the poise the young man has shown on the court especially in the young NBA season that began last week. Abdul-Jabbar says that Bynum still makes some mistakes on the court, but they are more due to lack of concentration than any other factor. The legendary center says that the mistakes that Bynum are making can be easily rectified. In wins over Phoenix and Utah last week Bynum averaged 14.5 points and 11 boards.
