Celtics Bury Nuggets 119-93

The Boston Celtics had four of their five starters in double figures Wednesday?as they slammed the Denver Nuggets 119-93, that was not as close as the final score indicates. Boston at one time led the contest by 41 points as basically the entire second half was extended garbage time. The Green led Denver 77-38 at half time! The Celtics were led in their attack by Paul Pierce who had 26 points with 5 assists and 5 rebounds, The “Big Ticket” Kevin Garnett again came up huge with 23 points 13 boards and 7 assists. The Celtics backcourt were also key contributors Ray Allen with 22 points 6 assists and 3 rebounds and Rajon Rondo looking good again with 14 points and 4 assists.
Allen Iverson led Denver with 22 points as they were on the second game of a back to back. Denver lost to New York on Tuesday night as they lost a comfortable lead in the game’s closing moments. They were never a factor in this drubbing. Marcus Camby had 17 points and 8 rebounds, Kenyon Martin 12 points and 5 rebounds, Carmelo Anthony had 11 points and 6 assists and Bobby Jones had 10 points in the loss. Boston has started out season 3-0 their first time at that mark since 1999, Denver after losing two in a row is now 2-3.
