Michigan Live.com reported on Friday that Detroit Pistons rookie point guard Rodney Stuckey could be back on the active roster in a couple of weeks. Stuckey who was the Pistons first round draft choice in the 2007 NBA Draft had impressed teammates and coaches throughout the preseason. Stuckey however broke his hand in the waning days of the exhibition season.

Stuckey had the hand operated on back on October 25, and the initial reports were that the rookie would not be back until mid December. But according to the reports Detroit coach Flip Saunders said Stuckey was coming along quicker than expected, and could be activated in a couple of weeks. Stuckey had Detroit officials thinking he could quickly become an impact player before the injury.
