In my preview of this game I brought up the comparison of San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker and his New Orleans Hornets counterpart Chris Paul. After Friday night’s?game? there is no comparison as Parker just dominated with game highs in points with 27 and assists with 8 as the Spurs beat the Hornets 97-85. Tim Duncan added 24 points and 12 rebounds and Manu Ginobili had 14 points and 10 rebounds. San Antonio shot 51.9% from the field.

Paul had a nice game, just not the dominant one that Parker had. Paul shot 18 points and had 7 assists one of four New Orleans players in double figures.? David?West had?15, while Bobby Jackson and Hilton Armstrong?came off the bench and scored 12 and 10 respectively. Center Tyson?Chandler had 9 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.?The Spurs improve to 5-1 with the win while?the Hornets are now at 4-2.
