Knicks lose center James indefinitely

Often unlucky and injured, New York Knicks reserve center Jerome James cannot seem to catch a break as of late.? According to the Associated Press, James will have surgery on his right foot and be lost to the team indefinitely.

James hadn’t played at all this preseason or regular season because of knee and foot pain; the surgery was decided upon after James received a battery of tests, deeming the surgery necessary.? The 7′1″ James has been considered a major disappointment since signing a huge 5-year, $30 million contract in the summer of 2005.? The Knicks signed center Eddy Curry shortly thereafter, making James a backup.? Perhaps it is just me, but I would consider a buyout of James’ contract since it is becoming painfully (pun unintended) clear that James will not pan out now or in the future.? The man cannot stay healthy.
