The Portland Trail Blazers had two things going for them Saturday night - they have last year’s Rookie Of the Year, Brandon Roy and they also stopped a thirteen-game losing streak, as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 91-82 at the Rose Garden.? That streak was the 4th-worst losing streak against an opponent; the Los Angeles Lakers won 17 straight against the Trail Blazers during their expansion years.
Portland were up 30-22 thanks to center Joel Przybilla’s dunk, but Dallas pulled to within 32-30 on forward Brandon Bass’ jumper.? The Mavericks would never regain the lead from that point on.?
