Wizards Break On Through To The Other Side Beat Hawks 101-90

The Washington Wizards, can finally let out that huge sigh of relief, they got the monkey off their collective backs! The Wizards Sunday, after tarting the NBA season 0-5 now are the proud owners of their first win defeating the Atlanta hawks 101-90. The Wizards won every quarter, and the Hawks were no longer a threat by halftime.
Washington had all five starters in double figures, including two with double-doubles. Caron Butler led the scoring parade with 24 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds and Antawn Jamison had 23 points, a game high 15 rebounds, and 2 assists. Gilbert Arenas bad knee and all had 18 points,?6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, Brendan Heywood the second starter with the double-double had 13 points, and 10 rebounds, and DeShawn Stevenson had 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Atlanta, who lost to Boston Friday night were in desperation mode in this game as they kept jacking up trey after trey with very little success. The Hawks were a ludicrous 3-20 from outside the arc, guys there is a time to say it’s not working try something else! Atlanta had three starters in double figures, Josh Smith had 23 points, 4 rebounds blocked 3 shots, 2 assists and 1 steal. Joe Johnson had 22 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds and a steal, while Marvin Williams had 20 points 12 boards, 6 assists and blocked a shot as well. Josh Childress came off the bench and scored 10 points for the Hawks who fall to 2-4 with the loss. The Wizards are now 1-5.
