I have been banging the drum for this team to get a point guard since they were swept last season in the NBA Finals. This?game hopefully will be a wakeup call, as even though A.I. says?he is no longer the point guard for the Denver Nuggets, you know Monday night he will go ballistic. Cleveland has nobody close to be able to defend Iverson.Monday’s Got Some Great Match Ups On NBA Schedule Slam Dunk Central 11/12/07.

Okay Danny, do you need any more proof? Yes your team looked very impressive going 4-1 in it’s first five games of their six game road trip. But then they went to Denver Monday night, and as you can read above Danny in my preview of the contest, it was inevitable. And Mr. Ferry it will keep happening each and every time your team plays against a team with a better than average point guard. Monday night your guys were eaten up alive.

The Cleveland Cavaliers ended their six game road trip on a?very sour note, being embarrassed by the Denver Nuggets 122-100. Allen Iverson led the way for Denver with 37 points, 8 assists,?3 rebounds, 2 steals,?J.R. Smith came off the bench to score 29 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and Carmelo Anthony had 22 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds. Marcus Camby had a game high 12 boards for Denver.

LeBron James had a great night scoring as he had 27 points, but a disappointing 4 assists, and 1 rebound. He was the only Cleveland starter in double figures, Zydrunas Ilgauksas who was superb Sunday night had 2 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and only 2 fouls, so that was not the problem. Cleveland did have nice efforts from Ira Newble who shot 17 points off the bench, and Shannon Brown who had 12. Look even the best teams are going to have bad nights, but to go into a game not properly prepared is inexcusable. And until the Cavaliers get a legitimate point guard, they will not be properly prepared.
