McGrady injury not serious

A big sigh of relief could be heard down in Houston Wednesday; according to SportsTicker, Houston Rockets swingman Tracy McGrady, who suffered an elbow injury during Wednesday night’s Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets game, received a MRI immediately after leaving the Toyota Center and it indicated that McGrady suffered a sprain and some nerve irritation.
McGrady told the Ticker after the game, “There is a lot of inflammation around my elbow. So right now it is day-to-day. The doctors say it will be a week, but I don’t know. We’ll see. It’s definitely good news because I actually thought it could have been a lot worse. I couldn’t feel my fingers for a while. It was very painful. Right now I couldn’t play if I tried.” Assuming that the week-long absence rings true, McGrady could be back as soon as November 21, when the Rockets host the Dallas Mavericks.
