Turnover-prone Nets fall to Heat 91-87
The New Jersey Nets outshot and outrebounded the Miami Heat, yet they found a way to lose tonight at East Rutherford, NJ, 91-87. That’s right - turnovers did them in. Any time you commit twenty-six turnovers during a game, chances are pretty good that you’ll lose.
Before the game, Nets head coach Lawrence Frank, in what […]

Hornets Swarm T-Wolves 100-82
The New Orleans Hornets playing without their quarterback, and team leader Chris Paul mounted a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-82 Saturday night. Paul missed the game due to a sprained ankle he suffered against Memphis Friday night.
New Orleans who have gotten off to a very impressive 9-2 start after this win were […]

Hot shooting keys Pacers win over Jazz 117-97
The Indiana Pacers found a cure for erasing a six-game losing streak - red-hot shooting. Indiana shot a tick under 58% from the field, including 48% from beyond the 3-point arc (11-for-23) as they routed the Utah Jazz 117-97 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. In addition to their hot shooting, they forced the Jazz to […]

Warriors’ Jackson set to start Sunday vs. Toronto
While last night’s impressive victory over the Los Angeles Clippers is not an indication, it is apparent that the Golden State Warriors are a team that is tickled pink to have forward Stephen Jackson back into the fold. So glad, in fact, that according to Geoff Lepper of the San Jose Mercury-News, Jackson will be inserted into […]

Odom powers Lakers past Pistons 103-91
The Los Angeles Lakers on most nights rely on guard Kobe Bryant to score with regularity. Tonight wasn’t a good example of that request; however, they had a secondary resource, one Lamar Odom. Odom’s output made up for Bryant’s off-night as the Lakers beat the Detroit Pistons at Staples Center Friday night.
The game was close […]

Martin’s career-best 43 help Kings outlast Knicks in double OT 123-118
I think it is safe to say that Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Martin is becoming the team’s go-to guy when it counts the most. Martin’s 3-pointer capped a Sacramento 9-2 run in the second overtime that boosted the Kings to a win over the New York Knicks 123-118 at Arco Arena.
The game was nip-and-tuck throughout, […]

Biedrins stars as Warriors sink Clippers 122-105
The crowd at Oracle Arena got their money’s worth and then some Friday night. Golden State Warriors center Andre Biedrins scored a season-high 23 points as the Warriors won their first game of the season, routing the Los Angeles Clippers 122-105 at Oakland. Probably the most unusual part of the game was the fact that […]

Celtics Barely Keep Streak Alive Beat Miami 92-91
The Boston Celtics are very, very, very, lucky that they are not 7-1, instead of still being the only unbeaten team in the NBA at 8-0. Boston allowed a big lead that they held on the Miami Heat in the second half due to sloppy and lackadaisical play. But a key layup by Paul Pierce […]
