Golden State Warriors forward-center Al Harrington celebrates during the final moments of the Los Angeles Clippers-Golden State Warriors game played Friday night. Golden State won their first game of the year, beating Los Angeles 122-105.

?The crowd at Oracle Arena got their money’s worth and then some Friday night.? Golden State Warriors center Andre Biedrins scored a season-high 23 points as the Warriors won their first game of the season, routing the Los Angeles Clippers 122-105 at Oakland.? Probably the most unusual part of the game was the fact that both teams launched a combined 48 3-point attempts.

A pleasant surprise for Golden State was reserve center Patrick O’Bryant.? Usually a bench-warmer, O’Bryant got extended minutes as Biedrins got into foul trouble late in the game.? And he made the most of the opportunity, scoring a career-high 10 points before fouling out with 7:42 to play.

The Warriors played a strong first half, leading the Cliuppers 64-55 at halftime.? The game went back and forth until mid-4th quarter when Golden State pulled off a 13-5 run, led by Warriors point guard Baron Davis.? The nail in the coffin was when Davis fed guard Monta Ellis a pass for a dunk which put Golden State for good 118-101 with 1:35 to play in the game.

Seven Warriors scored in double-digits, led by F/C Al Harrington with 27 points and 8 rebounds; the aforementioned Biedrins added 23 and grabbed 18 boards while Davis had another impressive effort, putting in 21 and 12 assists.? F Matt Barnes contributed 17 points, with 6 rebounds and 8 assists - impressive indeed.? Los?Angeles’ high scorer was F Tim Thomas with 25 points, including 6 3-pointers made, while swingman Corey Magette added 22 and 12 rebounds; G Cuttino Mobley chipped in 16.? Golden State (1-6), with its first win of the year, hope to start a winning streak when they fly to Toronto to take on the Raptors on Sunday, while Los Angeles (5-3) hosts the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
