New Orleans Hornets forward David West?had the game of his life scoring a career high 40 points and leading the Hornets to a hard fought win over the Memphis Grizzlies 120-118, Friday night. Chris Paul added 28 points and 13 assists, and center Tyson Chandler had 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the victory. Starting forward Peja Stojakovic had 17 points and 9 boards while guard Bobby Jackson came off the bench and added 14 points in the win.

Grizzlies guard Juan Carlos Navarro led the team coming off the bench with 28 points, one of five Memphis players in double figures. Both starting forwards Pau Gasol and Rudy?Gay each had 20 points for the Grizzlies, Mike Miller added 13, and forward Hakim?Warrick added 10 points off the bench.

New Orleans shot 50 % from the field for the game,and went 45 % from outside the arc. But Memphis?did even better, shooting 50.5 % from the field and?an incredible 62.5 % from three point range! The lead changed hands 24 times and the game was tied 34 times. New Orleans with the win now goes to 8-2, while the hard luck Grizzlies fall to 2-6.
