Balanced scoring the key as Warriors slip past Raptors 106-100

This Sunday afternoon tilt was the perfect time for the Golden State Warriors to welcome back forward Stephen Jackson. Jackson, along with five other Warriors, scored in double-figures, leading the Warriors to a 106-100 win over the Toronto Raptors in Toronto.
Jackson initially began the season serving a 7-game suspension, the result of a guilty plea to a felony charge of criminal recklessness for firing a gun outside an Indianapolis, IN nightclub in October of 2006. Now with Jackson back with the Warriors, they have yet another offensive option at their disposal.
Leading 32-29 after the first quarter, Golden State hit on their first 8 shots of the 2nd period to widen their lead to 48-41 with 5:42 left in the half. Toronto would respond with an 8-0 run, capped by a dunk by Raptors forward Jamario Moon, to take their first lead of the game with 3:13 left in the half. Toronto would lead 61-58 at the half.
Golden State trailed 88-80 after 3 quarters, but opened the fourth with an 11-3 run that knotted the game at 91 with 6:39 left in the game. Warriors F Austin Croshere’s 3-pointer with 3:51 remaining would give Golden State since the 2nd quarter, 96-94 - a lead they would not give up.
As previously mentioned, 6 Warriors scored in double-digits, led by Jackson’s 17 points, with swingman Klenna Azubuike and point guard Baron Davis scoring 16 each. Center Andris Biedrins provided a solid effort, scoring 15 and grabbing 14 rebounds. Toronto was led by PG T.J. Ford with 29 points and 9 assists, with F Chris Bosh adding 11 and 11 rebounds. Golden State (2-6), winners of 2 straight, flies to New York City to challenge the embattled Knicks on Tuesday, while Toronto (5-5) travels to Dallas to take on the Mavericks, also on Tuesday.
