Marbury Back As Starter For Knicks

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury will be in the starting lineup In Tuesday night’s game against the Golden?State Warriors. Last week New York head coach substituted Mardy Collins?as a starter in Marbury’s place and Stephon?did not show up for the game. ?The Knicks at first said that Marbury missed the game without notification, or permission from the team and would be fined. Marbury countered back with saying Thomas had told him to head home. Thomas will neither confirm nor deny saying he wants to keep the matter in house.

Marbury was back for the following game and played a total of three games off the bench. New York is in the midst of a six game losing streak. The?team has been filled with controversy since before training camp, the result of the team,?Thomas, and owner James Dolan being found guilty of sexual harassment. The Knicks were sued by a former female executive with the?team. The results were a black eye for the organization, and the New York Tabloids basically being on an “Issiah Watch” to see if and when Thomas is fired. Thomas signed a four year extension with the?Knicks back in?March.
