?Tonight’s game between the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns provided a stark contrast to Tuesday’s matchup.? Tuesday’s game was decided in the late fourth quarter.? The game tonight was pretty much decided late in the first half.? Of course, it did not help Sacramento as they were short-handed; they were without F Ron Artest (personal) and guards Beno Udrih (knee) and Mike Bibby (thumb).? Hot shooting in the first half by Phoenix enabled the team to overpower the Kings 127-111.

To illustrate how dominant Phoenix was, they had a 20-point advantage midway through the second quarter, while on their way to an 80-63 halftime lead.? Even Suns point guard Steve Nash had already recorded a double-double, with 14 points and 12 assists by halftime.? The Suns continued to pour it on in the 3rd quarter, twice building 30-point leads.

Phoenix had 6 players in double-figures, led by F Shawn Marion with 25 points.??Guards Leandro Barbosa and?the aforementioned Nash added 18 each; Nash also dished out 15 assists.? F Grant Hill chipped in 15 along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists.? Sacramento was led by G Fernando Garcia with 31 points, with 6 rebounds and 5 assists; swingman John Salmons added 21 and 10 rebounds while G Kevin Martin had a 19 point effort.? Phoenix (10-2) look to win their 8th straight when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, while Sacramento (4-8) flies to the Northwest to take on the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden on Friday night.
