Duncan Leads Spurs Over Sonics 116-101

The San Antonio Spurs are off to their?bet start ever as they defeated Seattle Sunday night 116-101. The win over the SuperSonics give the Spurs a 12-2 record one game better than the record they set last season. The Spurs basically put the game out of reach when they scored the first 12 points of the third quarter.
San Antonio was led by Tim Duncan who had 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocked shots, and a steal. Tony Parker and?Manu Ginobili?each had 22 points for the Spurs, with Parker adding 7 assists,?5 rebounds, and Manu got 2 assists, and 1 board. Matt Bonner came off the bench for the Spurs scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and Michael Finley scored 11.
Seattle was led by Wally Szczerbiak who had 27 points coming off the bench. Rookie Kevin Durant had 25 points, as he went 11-17 from the field, he also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Chris Wilcox was the only other Sonics player in double figures with 16 points, and 6 rebounds. Seattle now falls to 2-12 after the loss.
