Clippers point guard Sam Cassell is unsure when his strained left calf will be well enough to play again.

The Los Angeles Clippers have had health issues for awhile now; however, they did get a bit of good news when, according to Jonathan Abrams of the Los Angeles Times, point guard Sam Cassell, who left Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets because of a strained calf, is listed as day-to-day. Cassell visited with team physician Tony Daly; Cassell reported feeling better, although it is not certain if he will play against the Denver Nuggets on Friday.Cassell’s health status is important as he sat out 24 games last season with a myriad of injuries. This season, he is averaging 13.1 PPG and 4.2 APG; if Cassell cannot play, Brevin Knight and Dan Dickau will share point guard duties.
