Posted by Stephen Rhodes under Main

The Seattle SuperSonics, besides having the worst record in the NBA (2-13), cannot catch a break - unless it is a player catching that break, literally. The Associated Press is reporting that SuperSonics forward Nick Collison will miss at least three games after breaking his nose against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.Collison was injured when late in the third quarter against Los Angeles, he was hit in the face by Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who made an unsuccessful swipe at the ball. Collison suffered a cut below his right eye, and doctors determined that Collison fractured his right nasal wall. Collison was on the Sonics’ active roster for the Orlando game Wednesday, but team head coach P.J. Carlesimo said he would not play. He will also miss games against Indiana on Friday and Sunday against Golden State. Collison, before the injury, was averaging 8.1 PPG and 7.1 RPG.
