There is no way in the world you will ever convince me that the men who were in New York Knicks uniforms Friday, were?the same men that were embarrassed on National TV Thursday night. That team did not have it in them to mount a furious second half comeback at MSG to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 91-88. I don’t know if these were the real guys and the clones played Thursday, or if it was the clones who played Friday night. Either way?Knicks owner James Dolan should keep this team and get rid of the other one.

The Jamal Crawford and Zack Randolph?who sat on the Knicks bench Thursday night were not capable of scoring a team high 25 points each, Randolph adding 8 rebounds, while Crawford had 4 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds.?The Stephon Marbury who sat on the New York bench Thursday night doing his best Dennis Rodman imitation, substituting a towel for a hood, was not capable of scoring 13 points, 6 assists, 4 boards, and a steal. And the Fred Jones who scored?just 2 points against Boston was not the same guy that scored 10 Friday night against the Bucks.

Early on in this game it really looked like this could be Isiah Thomas last game as?coach of the Knicks, as they trailed 29-19 after the first quarter, and 55-44 at the half. In fact things did not look much brighter after three quarters as Milwaukee led 77-65. In fact New York trailed by as much as 17 points, and then Marbury was injured in the third quarter as he developed spasms in his right shoulder. But the veteran Jones scoring all?10 of his points in the final period took over at the point.?New York took the lead as “Q” Quentin Richardson put them ahead 87-85, but then Milwaukee regained it seconds later as Mo Williams hit a trey. But New York regained the lead for good on a Crawford bucket with 28 seconds remaining in the game.

The Bucks were led by Michael Redd who had a game high 27 points but missed two critical three point attempts down the stretch. Milwaukee scored only 11 points in the final quarter. Desmond Mason had 15, Williams added 13, and center Andrew Bogut had 10 points, and 9 rebounds in the loss. Milwaukee after the loss has a record of 7-7 while the Knicks improve to 5-10. Judging by the cheers at the end of the game it appears that Thomas will survive yet another crisis in New York.
