Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, at this rate, will probably need to build an addition to his trophy case – assuming he has one. The Utah Jazz benefitted from the stellar play of forward Carlos Boozer. On Monday, Boozer was selected as the Western Conference player of the month, while Howard was selected as the Eastern Conference player of the month.

Boozer, in November, ranked third in scoring with 25.4 PPG, tied for 8th in rebounding with 11.2 RPG, and was 6th in field goal percentage at .577 in helping Utah to a November record of 11-5. Boozer scored 30 or more points six times and also recorded 12 double-doubles. Howard averaged 23.8 PPG and a league-leading 15.0 RPG while leading Orlando to a November record of 14-4. Howard also recorded a league-best 15 double-doubles and scored 30 or more points on 6 occasions. Other nominees for November included Boston’s Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, Cleveland’s LeBron James, Detroit’s Tayshaun Prince, Houston’s Tracy McGrady, Phoenix’s Steve Nash and San Antonio’s Tony Parker.
