Jazz Coach Receives Contract Extension

Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan

The Associated Press reports that Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan and the team have reached an agreement on a one-year contract extension that would keep Sloan in Salt Lake City until the end of next season. Sloan, who was hired by the Jazz in 1988, is the franchise’s winningest coach and needs just 47 wins to become the first coach in NBA history to win 1,000 games with the same club.
