Josh Howard scored 27 points, Dirk Nowitzki complimented him with 25 more, and the Dallas Mavericks withstood the Chicago Bulls come back attempt as they won Monday night 103-98.??Dallas who had led in the final quarter by 16 points, watched their lead dwindle down to a mere 3 points with less than 12 seconds left in the game after Andres Nocioni hit 3 consecutive free throws.

Dallas just overpowered the Bulls in the first half as they walked into the locker room with a 56-44 half time edge. The Bulls who shot a less than stellar 34.5% from the floor for the contest actually won the third quarter over the Mavericks by a point. But Chicago came alive in the fourth quarter scoring 38 points, more points than they had in the second and third quarters combined.

Nocioni was the player who caused most of the uproar as he finished with a game high 30 points. The sixth man shot 6-9 from the field, 3-4 from outside the arc, and 15-16 from the line to go along with 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. The Bulls main three players all scored in double figures, Kirk Hinrich scored 18, Luol Deng 11 points, 8 rebounds but fouled out of the game and Ben Gordon scored 10 in the loss. Chris Duhon also had a nice night coming off the bench 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals.

Howard had a great night shooting 50% from the floor 6-6 at the line?with a game high 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals. Nowitzki shot 9-17 from the floor, 7-7 from the line,?with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, Jason Terry scored 18 points, and Brandon Bass scored 12?coming off the bench. Dallas, now has a record of 12-6, while Chicago falls to 4-11.??
