Posted by Stephen Rhodes under Main

After a gruesome shooting night against Orlando, the Golden State Warriors were looking to correct themselves. And correct themselves they did - in a big way. Shooting 52.3% from the floor (including 68.2% from beyond the 3-point arc: 15-of-22), the Warriors ran all over the Milwaukee Bucks 120-90 at Oracle Arena. Not many highlights for Milwaukee, as Golden State outscored the Bucks in every period. The Warriors would hit six of eight 3-pointers in the first quarter to take a 5-point lead. Milwaukee would further dig themselves into a deeper hole by missing their first 8 shots of the 2nd period, falling bahind 38-25. Golden State’s hot shooting continued, as as forward Matt Barnes drained a 3to make it a 17-point Warriors lead then guard Monta Ellis would score a basket to make the Golden State lead 57-36 at halftime.
Warriors forward-center Al Harrington’s third 3-pointer of the game capped an 11-point run, giving Golden State a 64-36 lead early in the 3rd quarter; the Warriors would coast to the win. Golden State would have 6 players in double-figures, led by Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson with 20 points each; Davis would also dish out 9 assists. Kelenna Azubuike would add 16 in a reserve role, while Harrington would chip in with 15. Milwaukee was led by Michael Redd with 24 points with Bobby Simmons adding 13. Golden State (10-8) continues its succesful homestand, hosting the Miami Heat on Friday night; Milwaukee (8-9) travels to the Northwest to take on the Seattle SuperSonics, also on Friday night.
