Bosh Comes Back To Lead Raptors Come Back Beat Rockets 93-80
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
Chris Bosh returned to the Toronto Raptors after missing the last five games with a strained groin, and helped engineer a second half surge, that saw Toronto come from behind to defeat the Houston Rockets Sunday 93-80. The Rockets who who had a 45-34 lead at the half were outscored by Toronto by 17 points in the third quarter, as Houston was held to 11 points.
If there was ever a game that looked like the two teams changed uniforms at half time, this was the one. Houston who had been the aggressor in the first half turned passive, which only seemed to fuel Toronto’s internal fire. The Raptors outscored Houston 59-35 in the second half.
Bosh in his return had a double-double as he had 10 rebounds to go with his 21 points, 4 blocked shots, 3 assists, 2 steals. Kris Humphries and Carlos Delfino both had nice games off the bench, Humphries 16, points, 9 rebounds, Delfino 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal. Anthony Parker scored 11, and Jason Kapono came off the bench to score 10.
Houston All-Star guard Tracy McGrady scored a game high 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals. Yao Ming had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocked shots, 1 assist, and Bonzi Wells scored 12 points of the bench. The two teams now sport identical records of 11-10.
